PS-RTP server enables the following functions in Intellect:

  1. In the third-party software control cameras, PTZ, relays and sensors configured in Intellect using the GB28181 protocol.
  2. Watch live and archived video in the third-party software.
  3. According to user rights limit access to the functions listed above.

Intellect acts as a subserver in the server hierarchy. If Intellect is to act as a supserver, configure Connecting cameras via the GB/T28181 protocol.

Configure PS-RTP server as follows:

  1. Create a PS-RTP server object under the LOCALHOST object in the Hardware tab of the System settings dialog box.
  2. The settings panel of the object is displayed in the Main tab on the right of the System settings dialog box (1). Here the parameters of PS-RTP server that acts as a subserver are set.
  3. In the IP: dropdown list select the address of network interface via which the third-party software will access PS-RTP server using the GB28181 protocol (2).
  4. In the Port field specify the number of port to which the third-party software will be connected using the GB28181 protocol (3).
  5. In the Transport dropdown list select a data transfer protocol: UDP or TCP (4).
  6. In the Server ID field the id of Intellect server is shown – it is used in the third-party software to connect to RS-RTP server via the GB28181 protocol (5).
  7. In the from: (6) and to: (7) fields set the range of RTP ports used by the module.
  8. Specify the list of objects the access to which is to be guaranteed by RS-RTP server as follows:
    1. Go to the Device list tab (1).
    2. In the Type dropdown list select the type of object created in the Intellect object tree (2).
    3. In the Name dropdown list select the name of required object (3).
    4. In the Device ID field the device id is shown – it will be used in the third-party software to control objects via the GB28181 protocol (4).
    5. Repeat steps b-d for all required devices.
  9. Set parameters to connect Intellect to edge supserver:
    1. Go to the Edge supserver connection tab (1).
    2. Set the Edge server connection checkbox checked (2). As a result edge server connection parameters are available for editing.
    3. In the IP field specify the edge server IP-address (2).
    4. In the Port: field specify the edge server connection port (3).
    5. In the Transport field select a transport protocol used for edge server connection (5).
    6. In the Login: field specify the username for edge server connection (6).
    7. In the Password field specify the password for edge server connection (7).
    8. In the Server ID field specify the id of the edge server via the GB28181 protocol (8).
    9. To save settings click the Apply button.
