Different digitization and processing algorithms are used with different input video signal formats. The input signal format is individually set for ADC of every video capture card. Any single ADC processes and digitizes single format signals only: either PAL or NTSC.
In INTELLECT™ all ADCs of video capture cards by default are set to digitize video signal in PAL format.
Note.
While using Stretch VRC6004, VRC 6008, VRC 6416, VRC 7008L and VRC 6404HD video capture cards, the input video signal (PAL or NTSC) is selected automatically depending on cameras, connected to the card. Changing the parameter does not affect the card workability.
Note.
While using SL16-200 (FX116) and FX416 video capture cards, restart INTELLECT™ software after changing the format of video input. Otherwise the initial settings will be active.
To set the ADC of a video capture card to digitize and process video signal in NTSC format, do the following:
- Go to the Hardware tab in the System Settings dialog box (1).
- In the objects tree of the Hardware tab, select the Video Capture Device object, created before (2).The settings panel for the selected object is displayed on the right of the Hardware tab.
- In the Signal drop-down list, select the NTSC value (3).
- Click the Apply button (4).
The input video signal format is now selected.
