If the Intellect software works when the Windows firewall is enabled, then the firewall is to be configured in the following way:

  1. Add all processes connected to the Intellect software working to the exceptions list (of allowed programs and components).  At standard settings the firewall requires the permission to start the process at first attempt of the module launch.
Attempt of the module launch is performed at creation the corresponding object in the hardware tree.  It is needed to allow the access to the network when the request appears.
If the access request is not displayed at the module launch attempt, add the needed processes to the allowed list manually.
  2. While the Intellect software working in the distributed environment it is needed to add the SQLservr.exe and sqlbrowser.exe processes to the exceptions list (of allowed programs and components) on the Server with which the database synchronization is performed.

Note.

Detailed information on Windows Firewall configuration is presented in the Microsoft web-site: http://windows.microsoft.com/
