It is possible to use SNMPUTIL.EXE utility to check the validity of SNMP configuration. In this case SNMP configuration for traps receiving sent by Axxon PSIM software on remote computer is performed as follows:

  1. Start the SNMP Trap on the computer where SNMPUTIL.EXE utility is run.
  2. Specify address of this computer in settings of the SNMP Trap object (as described in the Setting up the trap with SNMP-message section).
  3. Run the SNMPUTIL.EXE utility with “trap” flag.


Note

 It is not required to run SNMP services on the computer where the SNMP Trap object is created.
