To create a counter, click the Create button in the Counters list.

Then do as follows:

  1. Specify the name of the counter (1).
  2. Select the autorun mode (2):
    1. Yes — the counter starts working from the moment the server starts.
    2. No — the counter does not start working when the server starts, it it necessary to start it manually.
  3. Select one or more events that will increase the counter value (3, see Configuring filters for event-driven macros).
  4. Select one or more events that will decrease the counter value (4, see Configuring filters for event-driven macros).
  5. Select one or several properties by which the counting results will be grouped (5). Grouping is available for camera arming and disarming events, as well as for face detection and license plate recognition events.

    Note

    If you select several properties, then the resulting groups will be formed by the consolidation of these properties. An example of displaying the counting results with the Gender and Age properties selected:

    where 69 in the first line is the age, Female is the gender, and 8 is the number of women at the age of 69. The same goes for the rest of the lines.

    The order in which the properties are set does not affect the result.

  6. Click Apply.

You can copy counters. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Select the counter to copy.
  2. Click Create.

This creates a new identical counter.

Note

To create an empty counter, select the Counter group and click Create.

To remove a counter, select it in the list and click Remove.
