Note

For the detailed information on working with the timeline, see The Timeline.

Using the timeline, you can select a video in the archive for playback in the Surveillance window in two ways:

  1. Left-click the indicator and drag it to the corresponding position on the timeline, or left-click the left part of the timeline.

    Note

The position on the timeline is a graphical representation of a specific moment in time.

The frame corresponding to the selected position (moment in time) is displayed in the Surveillance window.

    Attention!

If the system clock is shifted back one hour (for example, in winter saving), the timeline doesn't display one hour of videos, but access to these videos remains.

For example, at 3 AM the clock is shifted back one hour. If you place the timeline indicator anywhere after 02:00:00, videos made after the shift are played back.

If you set the indicator to 01:59:59 or earlier, videos made from 01:59:59 to 02:59:59 (time stamped before the shift) are played back.

  2. Click the indicator. The calendar opens. Select the date to which you want to jump in the archive and specify the time in HH:MM:SS format, by using the arrows or keyboard number keys.

    Note

You can use the Tab key to navigate across various elements of the calendar.

As a result, you go to the specified position in the archive.

If one camera is in the Archive mode and you move the indicator to a point where there is no video, the indicator automatically goes to the position corresponding to the nearest video. If two or more cameras are in the Archive mode, you aren't able to go to the nearest video, the message No archive is displayed on the screen.

To playback the selected recording, use the playback panel (see Navigating Using the Playback Panel).
