The user who does not belong to the “Administrators” group can work with Intellect software correctly if the following requirements are fulfilled:

  1. UAC (Users account control) is disabled for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 OS. UAC can be disabled on the Control panel by Administrator of computer.

    Attention!

    Low position of the Do not notify me slider on the User account control parameter page doesn’t mean the full UAC disabling in the Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or , Windows 10. Configuration of the local security policy is required for full disabling the UAC. Configuration is performed on the Control panel -> Administrating -> Local security policy window.

    It is required to disable all policies names of which are started from “User Account Control”, apart from:

    User Account Control: request action to increase rights for administrators in the mode of administrator approval – set the Increasing without request item in the Security parameter value.

    User Account Control: request action to increase rights for users – set the Account request item in the Security parameter value.

  2. User is to have the free access to the ITV thread in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ITV section for 32-bit system (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Wow6432Node\ITV for 64-bit system).
  3. User is to have the free access to the folder in which the Intellect software is installed.
  4. User is to have the free access to the VIDEO and AUDIO folders on all logical disks in the system.
  5. If the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ITV\Intellect\BackupFolder key is in the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Wow6432Node\ITV\Intellect\BackupFolder for 64-bits system), the free access to the folder specified in the BackupFolder key is to be granted to user. For more information on this key please see Creating the database backup copy.
  6. The free access to the following folders is needed if there is no the BackupFolder key:
    1. C:\ProgramData\ - for Windows 7 OS;
    2. C:\ Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ - for Windows XP OS.
  7. The user is to have SeCreateGlobalPrivilege rights. Open the Local security policy tool (Control panel -> Administration), select Local policies -> Assign User rights -> Global objects creation and add the existing user to the folder.
