Axxon PSIM provides an audio and video synchro recording option.

Audio recording begins when video recording starts and ends when video recording stops. In synchro recording mode, audio files are stored with video files in the server archive in the "VIDEO" folders on the server archive local disks.

To use the synchro recording option, you must configure the Axxon PSIM audio subsystem properly. For information on how to configure an audio subsystem in Axxon PSIM, refer to Configuring audio subsystem.

Attention!

If you create a camera and microphone based on different Computer objects (for example, Server/RAW and Client) that are configured for synchronous video and audio recording, then synchronous audio recording is performed only if there are disks for archive recording with identical letters on both computers (see also Selecting the disks for audio archive storage and Selecting the disks for video archive storage).

If you configure the audio subsystem, then do the following to configure synchro recording on the selected camera and microphone:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings window.
  2. In the object tree on the Hardware tab, select the Camera object corresponding to the adjusted camera.
  3. Go to the Basic settings tab on the settings panel of the Camera object.
  4. In the Recording audio table, from the Number drop-down list, select the ID of the microphone set for synchro recording when registering it in Axxon PSIM. After this, the name of the selected Microphone object is automatically displayed when clicking on any area of the Microphone field in the table.

  5. To perform synchro audio recording from two microphones, repeat steps 4-5 for the second microphone.

    Note

Audio from two microphones is recorded to one stream.

  6. Click the Apply button.

Configuring the camera and microphone for synchro video and audio recording is complete.
