The Map object is used to register and configure the Map interface object in Axxon PSIM, which allows creating and positioning the icons of the installed devices on the map of the protected area and using the icons to operate the devices. The settings panel of the Map object is shown in the figure:
The table describes the setting parameters corresponding to the elements of the settings panel of the Map interface object.
№ | Parameter | Method for setting the parameter value | Parameter description | Representation | Default value | Value range |
1 | The Identification number* | Automatically | Displays the identification number of the Map object in the video surveillance system with distributed architecture | Sequence of numbers | NA | From 1 to 2147483647. Depends on the number of the Map objects in the video surveillance system with distributed architecture |
2 | The Name* | Enter the value in the field | Sets the name of the Map object in the video surveillance system with distributed architecture | Latin alphabet, Cyrillic, digits, and service characters | Map | A line containing a sequence of any characters (letters, digits, service characters except > and < characters), case-insensitive. Number of characters—from 1 to 60 |
3 | The Disable | Set the checkbox | Sets the status of the Map object in the video surveillance system with distributed architecture | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the Map object is disabled and isn't used Clear—the Map object is enabled and used |
4 | The Display | Select the value from the list | Sets the Display parent object of the system with distributed architecture to which the given Map object belongs | Names of the Display objects registered in the system | Name of the Display parent object | Depends on the number of the Display objects in the video surveillance system with distributed architecture |
5 | The Search alarmed links recursively | Set the checkbox | Sets the recursive search for the objects on the layers. The recursive search is a search where the transition from one layer, containing an object, to another layer, containing an icon, is performed by successive jumps to the neighboring layers, using sequential links | Boolean type | Clear | Set—a recursive search is enabled Clear—a recursive search is disabled |
6 | The Search depth field | Enter the value in the field | Sets the search depth for alarms across map layers if the map is multi-layered. This parameter determines how many layers will indicate the alarm. The value can only be entered if the Search alarmed links recursively checkbox is set | Sequence of numbers | 0 |
|
7 | The Search for the shortest path | Set the checkbox | Enables the search for the shortest path to the alarmed layer. If there are several paths from the active layer to the alarmed layer, then the shortest path is automatically found and selected when the Alarm signal is received (only one icon, that is, the Link to layer, will blink in the active layer, indicating the shortest path). Works together with the Search alarmed links recursively option only | Boolean type | Clear | Set—search for the shortest path is enabled Clear—search for the shortest path is disabled |
8 | The Over all windows when alarm | Set the checkbox | Displays the window of the Map interface object over all windows of active applications only for the currently active map layer if the Alarm signal is received from any object on this map layer For more details about the Layer object, see The settings panel of the Layer object | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the window of the Map object of the currently active layer is displayed over all active applications if the Alarm signal is received from any object on this map layer Clear—the window of the Map object of the currently active layer isn't displayed over all active applications if the Alarm signal is received from any object on this map layer |
9 | The Show video checkbox | Set the checkbox | Enables the function of live and archive video request from the map for cameras and objects linked with cameras | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the functions to request live and archive video are available in the menu of the Camera objects and objects linked with cameras Clear—the functions to request live and archive video aren't available in the menu of the Camera objects and objects linked with cameras |
10 | The Show frame checkbox | Set the checkbox | Enables the function of frame request from the map for cameras and objects linked with cameras | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the function to request archive frame is available in the menu of the Camera objects and objects linked with cameras Clear—the function to request archive frame isn't available in the menu of the Camera objects and objects linked with cameras |

11 | The X | Enter the value in the field | Sets the X coordinate in the horizontal axis for the upper left corner of the Map object on the screen | % of the screen width | 50 | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of the installed monitors |
The Y | Enter the value in the field | Sets the Y coordinate in the vertical axis for the upper left corner of the Map object on the screen | % of the screen height | 50 | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of the installed monitors
The W | Enter the value in the field | Sets the width of the Map object window | % of the screen width | 44 | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of the installed monitors
The H | Enter the value in the field | Sets the height of the Map object window | % of the screen width | 44 | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of the installed monitors
The Autoswitch | Set the checkbox | Sets autoswitch to the Alarm layer in the Map object | Boolean type | Clear | Set—when the Alarm signal is received from an object, the system will switch to the layer where the object is located Clear—when the Alarm signal is received from an object, the system doesn't switch to the layer where the object is located
The × button | Click the button | Opens a window to specify the position and size of the map | NA | NA | NA
The Over all windows checkbox | Set the checkbox | Allows displaying the map window on top of all windows | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the map is displayed on top of all windows Clear—the map is displayed in standard mode
The Monitor | Select the value from the list | Sets the number of the monitor in the system for which the coordinates are specified | Numbers of the monitors in OS | 1 | From 1 to 9
The Allow moving checkbox | Set the checkbox | Allows moving the map window manually | Boolean type | Clear | Set—allow moving the map window manually Clear—disable moving the map window manually

12 | The Create map copy | Click the button | Creates another Map object with all parameters identical to the given object | NA | NA | NA |
13 | The Object tracking monitor drop-down list | Select the value from the list | Selects the object tracking monitor. For details, see Using absolute telemetry of the Installing and configuring security system components guide section | Names of the available Monitor objects | NA | Depends on the number of the Monitor objects created in the system |
14 | The Upload from DB checkbox | Set the checkbox | Enables uploading events from database to show on the map | Boolean type | Clear | Set—when Axxon PSIM starts, the events are uploaded from the database before and after its startup Clear—only the events that occurred after the start of Axxon PSIM are displayed on the map |
