Documentation for Axxon One 2.0. Documentation for other versions of Axxon One is available too.
Attention!
We don't recommend you to delete or modify any Axxon One files without prior consulting with AxxonSoft technical specialists.
When working with Axxon One, keep in mind the limitations that the developer has imposed on the system in order to ensure its operability.
No. | Limitation |
---|---|
1 | To work with Axxon One, the following requirements for OpenGL must be met:
You can check the availability of extensions with the OpenGL Extension Viewer program (download). This program also contains a large database of OpenGL support in video cards of various vendors |
2 | You cannot start Axxon One client if the scale of all items on the screen (DPI) is over 100%. If the screen resolution is set lower than 1280*960 pixels, the correct operation of Axxon One isn't guaranteed |
3 | The server and the client versions must be the same. If not, the correct operation of Axxon One isn't guaranteed |
4 | For the correct operation of Axxon One, the OS must use the UTF-8 locale |
5 | Downgrade to a previous version of Axxon One is not allowed |
6 | In one LAN, two servers with the same name are not allowed, even if they belong to different Axxon-domains. If the name of the client computer and the name of the server computer in the LAN are the same, the correct operation of Axxon One isn't guaranteed |
7 | Maximum video frame rate in the client is 50 FPS. When Axxon One is running in the safe mode, the frame rate decreases |
8 | To install Axxon One, you must log in to Windows as administrator |
9 | For the correct installation of Axxon One, there must be no spaces at the beginning of the name of the folder that contains the installer |
10 | For the correct and full-feature operation of Axxon One, the system must not limit network activity between all servers and clients. If during Axxon One installation, you specified certain ports, the access to these ports via the TCP and UDP protocols must be enabled. Otherwise, access to all ports must be allowed in the system. For the client to operate correctly, disable unnecessary network interfaces on the Server. If you want the server to work with only one network interface, set its gateway and mask in the network settings utility (see Network settings utility) |
11 | For the correct operration of Axxon One, you must use different IP addresses for all network interfaces on the server, or use the interface mask to specify a designated set of addresses where the Server will operate (see Network settings utility). If there are identical IP addresses on the servers, there can be problems in communication between the servers, as well as between the client and the server |
12 | Time must be synchronized among all computers in the system (configured by the user) |
13 | If you have embedded storage enabled in the system, synchronization between the server and the IP device is necessary (see Embedded storage). If there is no synchronization, events from the device can be incorrectly recorded to the database |
14 | Before installing Axxon One, make sure that your computer uses the latest version of the video card driver |
15 | NetBIOS name of the computer must meet the following requirements:
|
16 | The face detectors require a CPU supporting SSE4.2, FMA3, or AVX2.0 instruction sets |
17 | You cannot start the client on a remote desktop through the standard Remote Desktop Connection Windows utility |
18 | If computer is connected to an Active Directory domain, one of the following conditions must be met to enable disk access:
|
19 | Hibernation mode and sleep mode are not supported. Before you switch the computer to these modes, stop the server (see Stopping the server) |
