Documentation for Axxon One 2.0. Documentation for other versions of Axxon One is available too.
If you have appropriate user rights, you can remotely manage monitors on remote Clients connected to a Server within the Axxon-domain (see Roles).
The following actions are possible:
- Add a layout to an additional monitor of the remote Client.
- Select another layout or a camera on an additional monitor.
- Edit a layout on the main or additional monitor.
- Shut down an additional monitor.
To display a layout on the additional monitor of the remote Client, click a monitor diagram of the required Client on the Monitor panel (see Monitor panel) and select a non-distributed monitor.
Note
You can add a layout to the additional monitor of the remote Client in the same way as for the local Client (see Managing monitors on a local Client).
To select another layout on the remote Client's monitor, do the following:
- Select the required layout on the local Client (see The Layouts panel).
- Click a monitor diagram of the remote Client, and then click the icon of the required monitor.
The selected layout will be displayed on a selected monitor of the remote Client. If a single camera is displayed on the remote Client's additional monitor, you can switch to another camera by selecting it on the screen of the local Client.
It is possible to temporarily display the layout on the monitor of the remote Client. For this, do the following:
Select (see The Layouts Panel) or configure (see Creating and deleting layouts) the required layout on the local Client.
Click a monitor diagram of the remote Client.
- Click the
The layout will be available for the remote Client until the Client restarts or until you switch to a different layout. The layout will only be saved if it is shared with the role of the remote Client (see Share Layouts) or belongs to the user of the remote Client.
Using the Objects Panel (see Objects Panel), you can change the cameras displayed on the main or additional monitor of the remote Client. These changes are not saved, and the initial layout is restored after the Client restarts. For this, do the following:
- Open and lock the Monitor panel (see Monitor panel).
- Open the Objects Panel.
- Select one or several cameras on the Objects Panel using the Ctrl or Shift keys.
- Left-click any selected camera.
- Drag the camera icon into a required cell on the diagram of the main or additional monitor.
- Release the mouse button.
Another way to put a camera into a required cell on the diagram of the main or additional monitor is to capture the camera's icon on the interactive Map (see Working with the interactive map).
You can also move a group of cameras, all cameras of a Server or an Axxon-Domain.
To close an additional monitor on the remote Client, click the
button on the monitor's thumbnail.
