  1. Go to the settings panel  for the Web-server object.
  2. Select the required camera in the  dropdown list of the Cameras table (1In the Number dropdown list select the number of a required camera (1). Being left-clicked the Camera field is automatically filled in with the camera name with the selected number (2).

  3.     If the Videogate

    has its own archive

    value is selected, then

    Web-server will get the archive from the Videogate archive, otherwise – from the main camera archive.

    video will be received from the corresponding videogate. A camera is to be configured in the corresponding Videogate – see the Selecting and configuring the cameras for the Videogate module section.

    If the Server value is selected, then archive footage is received from the Server on which the corresponding Camera object is created. If the Videogate or Backup archive value is selected, then archive footage is received from the videogate or backup archive. A camera is to be configured in the corresponding Videogate or Backup archive.

  5. In the Archive dropdown list select the the source of archive footage to be displayed in the Web-server interface (5). 

  6. Select the Microphone object associated with the camera from the Microphone drop-down list if a sound came from the camera is to be passed over the Web-server 2.0 (46).
  7. Select the Speaker object associated with the camera from the Speaker drop-down list if a sound came from the Web-server 2.0 is to be played (57).

    Steps 4 6 and 5 7 are to be executed only in case if the Web-server runs together with the Web-server 2.0, which, in its turn, is used to work with the iOS-based mobile client. For more information on the Web server 2.0, see section Configuring the server for the clients connection via the Web-server 2.0 module

    Repeat steps 2-3 for all required cameras.

    Server is the same as

    it was before the signal was recorded to disk and transferred over the network (the As in camera settings checkbox is set) (7).

    To change the compression level of video signal, set the As in camera setttings checkbox unchecked and then set the Compression slider into the position corresponding to the required compression level (8).The Min position of the slider corresponds to minimal compression level  of video signal, the Max position - to maximum one.the compression ratio of video before its recording to the disk or transmitting (the blank value is selected in the Compression dropdown list). To change the compression ratio, select the required compression (1-5 where 1 is minimum compression ratio, and 5 is maximum) ratio in the Compression dropdown list (8).

     The compression level parameter for the signal transmission to remote workstations via the Web-server is inverse to the Recording quality parameter of the Camera object.
    Increase of video signal’s compression level  decreases the network traffic  while connecting the Client to the Web-server. But video signal on the Server has to be recompressed in case of setting the compression level that results in greater load on Server’s central processor. The compression level is selected empirically.
  9. By default the camera control (arming/disarming, PTZ control, control over recording to the archive) in accordance with user rights is enabled. To disable the camera control, select the Disabled value in the Control dropdown list (9). As a result the camera control in the Web-server interface is disabled regardless of the user rights.
  10. Repeat steps 2-9 for all required cameras.

Cameras for displaying on the Web-server home page are now selected.
