Before start searching a query is to be created.
A key search phrase is specified in the Search substring field and it can contain both words and word-combinations.
When writing When making a key phrase to combine for combining several elements (words and/or word -combinationsphrases) , select one of the following logic structures can be used:search modes in the Search mode dropdown list:
- All words AND – to search titles containing all elements of a key phrase.
- OR Any word – to search titles containing at least one element of a key phrase
Use the 
button to specify logic structures. Several logic structures with AND or OR sytax can be used in one query.

* symbol can be used when making a key phrase – it means any number of any symbols in a word.
Time interval for data search is set in the Period from and to fields.
Before searching you are to select titles databases by setting the checkboxes next to required titles databases in the titles database state table.
To start searching, click the Find button.
When the search is performed, the query status is displayed in the table of titles databases states (Query executing state for all selected titles databases).
Yo can cancel search by clicking the Cancel button.
When the search is complete, the search results statistics are displayed in the table of titles databases states (Total recordings – the number of found transactions) and all transactions found in the selected titles databases are displayed in the search results table.
By default search results by all captioners are displayed in the Total tab. Double clicking the captioner name the tab containing the search results for the selected captioner appears.
When choosing transaction in the search results table, the value in the Total recordings column will change — number of strings in the selected transaction will be displayed.
To view the search results, select the tab with the required titles database and then select the required transaction in the search results table.
The corresponding titles are displayed as the text in the search results field.

If in the search results there are titles that were recorded before Intellect reinstallation, then indexing of the titles archive is to be performed. For this select Tools – Reindex menu item in the Captioner debug window that is called by double left-clicking the |
