The basic function of the remote Monitoring Workstation Client is receiving video and audio signals from video surveillance system Servers, video and audio monitoring, cameras, microphones and PTZ units control via various components of the Operator interface (video surveillance monitor, audio player, map, PTZ window etc.).

To configure the Remote Monitoring WorkstationClient, follow the steps:

  1. Register the Computer object, which corresponds to the Remote Monitoring WorkstationClient, and set the interaction parameters with the Servers, Remote Admin Workstations, Remote Monitoring Workstations Clients of the distributed video surveillance system on the administering server (see Configuring the INTELLECT™software system with distributed architecture of the digital video surveillance system section).
  2. Configure the User interface by creating screen(s) and setting up the Remote Monitoring Workstation Client access to them. The screen(s) should contain the user interface components: video surveillance monitor, audio player, map etc. (see Configuring the user interface section).
