INTELLECT™ software servers and Remote Admin Workstations configuration parameters are stored in the distributed database. Each server and Remote Admin Workstation store local copies of the distributed database. Local database copies should be synced to provide distributed operation of INTELLECT™ software and data replication (synchro alteration of local database copies).Synchronizing of servers and Remote Admin Workstations should comply with the video surveillance system project design (see the Selecting the structure of the distributed system
The following synchronization mechanisms are used in Intellect:
- Internal synchronization. All changes are applied to computers automatically. This mechanism is used by default and does not require any further configuration. Internal synchronization can be disabled – see Configuring internal synchronization.
- DB synchronization of recipients with sources when starting Intellect:
- Configuration synchronization (see Database synchronization setup).
Configuration and protocol synchronization (see Database synchronization setup and make changes to sync.xml file).
Info title Note. DB tables that are not synchronized during synchronization are in the sync.xml file. It is highly recommended not to change this file. - Only protocol synchronization (see Configuring the Event Viewer databases synchronization).
In the simplest case, database synchronization is performed for all servers and Remote Admin Workstations with the database of the administering server.
