While setting the LPR channel with Auto-Uragan/CARMEN-Auto/VIT/CARMEN-parking/IntelliVision IntelliVision active module it is necessary to state a specific country to be able to identify the plates belonging to that country. This setting specifies the format of the license plates to be used in the recognition process.

  1. In the System Settings dialog window, open the Hardware tab (1).
  2. In the object tree on the left side of the Hardware tab, select the LPR channel object representing the recognition module (2). The settings panel of the selected object will open on the right side of the window (see Activating the program module, used for identifying the plates section).

  3. Select the country in the Country drop-down list (3).

    There is a special utility for the VIT module - see PatCgfr.exe utility for active patterns configuration or PresetEditor.exe utility for active patterns configuration of VIT module - using which it is possible to set patterns configurations. Each configuration defines what license patterns will be recognized by the camera. Using various configurations it is possible to set various recognition rules for various cameras.

    For the CARMEN-Auto module, the Hazard Identification Number Recognition Engine (ADR) engine can be added to the list of emitter countries as a separate certain "country". The engine is available for download downloading on the official ITV | Axxonsoft website in the Auto-Intellect recognition engines section. The engine is added to the list using the EngineManager utility, which is described in detail in the engine_install_windows.txt file, located in the installation folder of the CARMEN-Auto module.
    The added engine is named cmanpr- <version number>: latin_eadr in the list of countries. If it is selected as the emitter country, the recognition module will be able to identify the license plates of the states using the Latin alphabet, as well as the specialized license plates of vehicles carrying hazard goods, with the definition and decoding of the type of cargo being transported. The information about the transported cargo will be displayed by the Vehicle Tracer interface object in the list of vehicle parameters, and also sent in the event about the recognized number.

  4. Click Apply (4).
