The Map object is designed to register and configure the Map interface object in the Intellect system, which allows creating and mapping the symbols of the installed devices in the controlled territory and to use the symbols to operate the devices. The settings panel of the Map object is shown in the figure.

The table describes the parameters of the settings corresponding to the elements of the settings panel of the Map object.
№ | Parameter | Method for entering the parameter | Parameter description | Symbols used | Default value | Value range
1 | Identification numberID* | Automatically | Displays the identification number ID of the Map object in the digital distributed video surveillance system. | Sequence of numbers | - | From 1 and above. Depends on the number of Map objects in the digital distributed video surveillance system.
2 | Name* | Enter the value in the boxfield | Displays the name of the Map object in the digital distributed video surveillance system. | Latin, Cyrillic and service characters | Map | A line containing a sequence of any symbols (letters, digits, service characters apart from > and < symbols), not case-sensitive Number of symbols – from 1 to 60.
3 | Disable | Is identified by the check mark | Set the checkbox checked | Sets Displays the status of the Map object in the digital distributed video surveillance system. | Boolean type | Not availableNo | Yes – the Map object is disabled and is not in use No – the Map object is enabled and is in use.
4 | Screen | Display | Select in Is selected from the list | Defines Sets the parent Display object of the digital distributed system , to which the given Map object refers. | Names of the Display objects registered in the system. | Name of the parent Display object. | Depends on the number of Display objects in the digital distributed video surveillance system
5 | Seek alarm Search alarmed links recursively | Is identified by the check markSet the checkbox checked | Defines, if recursive search for the objects in the levels layers is possible. The recursive search means a search, where the transfer from one levellayer, containing an object, to another levellayer, containing a symbol, follows a gradual pattern of moving to the neighboring levelslayers, using consecutive referenceslinks. | Boolean type | Not availableNo | Yes – a recursive search for objects is switched onenabled. No – a recursive search for objects is switched offdisabled.
6 | Seek Search for the shortest path | Is identified by the check markSet the checkbox checked | Enables the search of for the sortest shortest path to the alarmed layer, if . If there are several paths from the active layer are available. The to the alarm layer, then the shortest path is calculated automatically. Only defined automatically when the Alarm signal incomes (only one the Link to Layer layer icon with the shortest path will blink in the active layer). Can be enabled only together along with the Seek Alarm Links Recursively checkbox. |

| Search alarmed links recursively option. | Boolean type | No | Yes – search for the shortest path is enabled No – search for the shortest path is disabled |
7 | Over all windows when alarm | Set the checkbox checked | Sets | 7 | Bring window on top if alarm sounds | Is identified by the check mark | Defines, if the window of the Map interface object can be displayed above over all active applications in case of an alarm the Alarm signal incomes from any object of the Map interface object. | Boolean type | Not availableNo | Yes - the window of the Map interface object will be displayed above over all active applications in case of an alarm the Alarm signal incomes from any object of the Map interface objectobject. No - the window of the Map interface object will not be displayed above over all active applications in case of an alarm the Alarm signal incomes from any object of the Map interface objectobject. |
8 | No image cachingCheckbox | Set the checkbox checked | Image caching is disabled. It is in use when images overlay each other. | Boolean type | No | Yes – caching is disabled. No – caching is enabled.

| Defines Sets a coordinate in the X horizontal axis for the upper left corner of the window of the Map interface object on the screen. | % of the screen width. | Not definedset | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of video monitors installed. | ||||
10 | Y | Enter the value in the box
| Defines Sets a coordinate in the Y vertical axis for the upper left corner of the window of the Map interface object on the screen. | % of the screen height. | Not definedset | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of video monitors installed. | ||||

13 | Auto switching | Is identified by the check mark | Autoswitch | Set the checkbox checked | Activates autoswitch Activates an auto switch to the Alarm source levellayer in the Map interface object. | Boolean type | Not availableNo | Yes – in case of an alarm from an object, the system will switch to the source level, layer where the object is located. No – in case of an alarm from an object, the system will not switch to the source level, layer where the object is located.
14 | Monitor | Is selected Select in the list | The number of monitor in OS for which coordinates are specifyingspecified | Numbers of monitors | 1 | 1-9
