Edit map utility The Map editor utility enables to perform the operations with a group of objects. For selecting the several objects it is necessary to hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard.

Editing the additional data and type of object’s displaying

Editing Edit the additional data and type of object’s displaying is performed as follows:

  1. Select an object that is to be edited.  Green-pointed frame will appear around the image as a result.
  2. Call for the Edit object dialog window of the Edit map Map editor utility in one of the three ways:
    1. Perform the command of the main menu Operations with objects -> Edit object;
    2. Click the button on the toolbar;
    3. Perform the Edit command of the context menu (is called by right-clicking the object’s image).
  3. The type of the selected object is automatically displayed in the Object field (1).
  4. ID of the selected object is automatically displayed in the Identifier field (2).
  5. If necessary change the type of object’s displaying with the help of the Type of display switch (3).

  6. If required change object’s additional data in the Comment field (4).
  7. To save the changes click OK (5).

  1. Select object’s name the font, color or background of which is to be edited. Green-pointed frame will appear around the image as a result.
  2. Open the Properties panel (see  Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
  3. Set х and у coordinates of the left upper corner of the text frame as well as frame's height and width (w and h) and clockwise rotation Angle (1).
  4. In the Color field select the object's name font color (2).
  5. In the Background color field select the object's name background color (3).
  6. Click ... in the Font field (4). The standard Windows dialog window Font of the Map editeditor utility is opened. This dialog box can also be called by main menu command Operations with objects > Set the font
  7. In the opened dialog window set the required font or color parameters.
  8. Click Ok to save the changes.

Editing the font, color or background is completed.

Editing color and transparency (polygon and ellipsis)

Edit the color and transparency of objects added to the map as polygons and ellipsis as follows:

  1. Open the Properties panel (see Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
  2. In the dropdown list select the fill color of the polygon or ellipse ellipsis (1).
  3. Set the degree of transparency of the polygon or ellipse ellipsis in the normal state (2). The smaller the number, the higher the degree of transparency. 0 corresponds to full transparency, 255 - full opacity.
  4. In the dropdown list select the fill color of the polygon or ellipse ellipsis in case of alarm (3).
  5. Set the degree of transparency of the polygon or ellipse ellipsis in the alarm state (4). The smaller the number, the higher the degree of transparency. 0 corresponds to full transparency, 255 - full opacity.
  6. If the frame framing the polygon is to be hidden, then set the value to True in the Hide frame field (5).
