  1. Go to the VMDA detection object settings panel.
  2. Click the the Add area button  button (1).
  3. In the  the  Video preview field  field (3), set the nodal points of the area one by one by clicking the left mouse button. Only one area can be added. If there is an attempt to add a second area, the first one will be deleted.

  4. Make the necessary operations with an area. The operations are shown in the table.

  5. To select an object type for which the detector will trigger, click the Image Removedthe Image Added symbol. Available object types are:

    1. Image Removed Any Image Added Any object. Detector  Detector triggers while dealing with any object.
    2. Image RemovedImage Added A human. Detector  Detector triggers while dealing with a human.
    3. Image RemovedImage Added A vehiclevehicle. Detector  Detector triggers while dealing with a vehicle.

      Detection of the following object types can be configured using scripts and registry keys: a human, a group of humans (with a possibility to count the number of people in a group), a vehicle, noise, an object carried into the area, an object carried out of the area, other objects. See also CAM_VMDA_DETECTOR section of the Programming Guide.

      More precise objects classification can be performed using the neural filter (see Configuring the neural filter).


  6. To select a detector type, click the Image Removedthe Image Added symbol. Available detector types are given below.

    1. Image RemovedImage Added Any motion in the area. Detector triggers due to any motion in the area

    2. Image RemovedImage Added Entrance into the area. Detector triggers due to object’s entrance into the area

    3.  Exit from the area. Detector triggers due to the exit of object from the area

    4.  Appearance in the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s appearance in the area

    5.  Disappearance from the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s disappearance from the area

    6.  Stop in the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s stop in the area

    7. Presence  Presence in the area for more than 10 sec. Detector triggers due to the object’s precense in the area for more than 10 sec

    8. Abandoned  Abandoned item. Detector triggers due to the item abandoned in the area

  7. To set the object color to be triggered by the detector, click the Image RemovedImage Added icon. The color picker palette will open. Circle the required color range with the left mouse button.

    To reset the selected color range to the default value, right-click in the palette area.

  8. Set the Generate alarm on camera checkbox (4), if the camera alarm should be generated when the detector triggers.
  9. To save the changes, click the the Apply button  button (5).
