VMDA detection are detection tools due to triggering of which some actions can be performed in the system.

Note
titleImportant!

Up to Intellect version 4.10.2, VMDA detection tools trigger only if recording to the archive is performed (permanently or by alarm of the Motion detection tool). Intellect since version 4.10.3, recording is not an obligatory condition for VMDA detection tool to trigger.

For instance, when the detection tool with corresponding settings triggers, the alarm on camera is generated and recording to the archive starts. Thus VMDA detection tools allow recording to the archive and, therefore, the recording of object trajectories, not steadily, but in the required situations.

The table below describes the cases and reactions on detection tool triggering (e.g. on line crossing or motion in the area).

Info
titleNote.

The Disappearance in the area  detection tool is triggered immediately after an object in the area disappears. By default, the alarm is reset 15 seconds after the alarm is triggered. To change the length of time after which an alarm is reset, edit the DisappearedAlarmDuration registry key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ITV\INTELLECT\Video section for 32-bit systems (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ITV\INTELLECT\Video for 64-bit systems).
