In order the intellect.ddi file is not substituted it is to be saved with another name at step 5 - e.g. "intellect_1.ddi". Thus, 2 files of external settings are saved in the Languages catalog: source file and modified one. The idb.exe utility loads them in alphabetical order. As a result the intellect_1.ddi file is loaded the last one and its parameters are applied when database is updated.

If the event list in intellect_1.ddi is different from the original intellect.ddi, e.g. some events were added or deleted, then the event list is merged by idb.exe DB update.

When installing a new Intellect version the intellect_1.ddi file is not affected by the installation wizard and changes are saved.
