Configuring the storage depth of images, vectors and metadata of the captured and recognized faces archive enables the automatic archive cleanup when it reaches a certain size. . The archive is cleared when one of the conditions that came earlier occurs (see below).

Archive cleanup by remaining free space on the disk

To clear the archive by the remaining free space on the disk, set the size of the required remaining free space on the disk in megabytes in the FaceDBFreeMB registry key. Once the specified value is reached, the old images, vectors and metadata of captured faces will be deleted (see Registry keys reference guide, for details If the UseFaceDB key is equal to 2 or 1, then to configure the face archive depth, set the value of the FaceDBFreeMB parameter to the required archive size in megabytes (see Registry Keys Reference Guide, for more information about working with the registry, see Working with Windows OS registry). By default, the face archive size of remaining free disk space is 1000 megabytes.

Archive cleanup by retention time

To clear the archive by the retention time, do the followingIf the UseFaceDB key is equal to 1 or 0, do the following to configure the automatic archive cleanup:

  1. Go to the Face Recognition Server settings panel.
  2. In the Keep archive of recognized faces (days) field, enter the time period (in days) for within which the recognized faces and vectors archive is to be saved face images, vectors and metadata should be stored in the database (1).

The table stores information for current day and the number of days as specified in the field. For example, if the Keep archive of recognized faces (days) parameter is set to 1, information for two days (today and yesterday) is stored in the face archive.

The Keep archive of recognized faces (days) parameter also affects the captured face archive depth. Both archives are cleaned Once the specified retention time has expired, the FaceDB folders will be cleaned and the corresponding metadata will be removed from the databaseThe cleanup is performed on a loop every day at 00:00.
