The Sweethearting at checkout detection module is designed to prevent cases of intentional employee theft by scan avoidance at the cash register (sweethearting). The module works together with POS-Intellect software and Intellect Web Report System subsystem.

Theft facts are displayed in the Intellect Web Report System in the Sweethearting report. When creating the report, events from POS-Intellect and the Sweethearting at checkout detection module are compared. If the detection tool recorded the carrying the goods, but events from POS-Intellect were not recorded at that time, then the theft occurred. Other cases are considered normal.
