If you have an earlier version installed, please perform a step-by-step upgrade: 3.6.4. → 4.1.0 → 4.3.2 → 4.4.6 → 4.5.0 / -4.5.2 / 4.5.4 / 4.5.6.8.

You cannot directly upgrade to Axxon Next 4.5.0 / -4.5.2 / 4.5.4 / 4.5.6 8 from versions 3.6.466 and lower.

To upgrade to version 4.5.68, you must:

1. Run the new build installer.

2. Install the build using an existing configuration. The procedure is the same as for a new installation (see Installation).

   title Attention!
   In Axxon Next 4.5.0, the format of the system log database has changed and its size has increased. When upgrading from a previous version, the existing database will be converted. In this case, before starting the upgrade, the free space on the disk hosting the database will be checked. If the free disk space is less than the four-fold size  of the current database(the size of the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\AxxonSoft\PostgreSQL.NGP\Data), then you will see a  warning that some events after the upgrade may be lost. Click Yes to continue the installation. After installation, you need to adjust the database storage settings or increase the free space on disk (see Configuring storage of the system log and metadata).

   When you update the software, keep DBs in the same folder. If you set a different location for DBs, the metadata and events from it will not be available.
