Recording to archive is performed on a loop in the Intellect Axxon PSIM software package (see the General information on video archiving section). Therefore, old archive recordings can be replaced by new ones. But sometime it is required to protect important recordings from loop recording. In such case permissions to protect files from rewriting are needed.
