When changing the ddi file events, reactions, etc. can be added, modified or deleted.
To reduce database load modify the Axxon PSIMAxxonPSIM.ddi file as follows:
- Open the Axxon PSIMAxxonPSIM.ddi file in the ddi.exe utility.
- Select the CAM object.
- Go to the Events tab.
- Set the Do not record and Do not send to the network checkboxes checked for the MD_START (Alarm) and MD_STOP (Alarm end) events.
Save the file.
Update the database using the idb.exe utility (the Update database button, see Interface elements of the idb.exe window).

When updating Axxon PSIM the modified Axxon PSIMAxxonPSIM.ddi file is substituted with the file by default. |
In order the Axxon PSIMAxxonPSIM.ddi file is not substituted it is to be saved with another name at step 5 - e.g. "Axxon PSIMAxxonPSIM_1.ddi". Thus, 2 files of external settings are saved in the Languages catalog: source file and modified one. The idb.exe utility loads them in alphabetical order. As a result the Axxon PSIMAxxonPSIM_1.ddi file is loaded the last one and its parameters are applied when database is updated.
If the event list in Axxon PSIMin AxxonPSIM_1.ddi is different from the original Axxon PSIM.ddi, e.g. some events are added or deleted, then the event list is merged by idb.exe DB update.
When installing a new Axxon PSIM version the Axxon PSIMthe AxxonPSIM_1.ddi file is not affected by the installation wizard and changes are saved.

When deleting Axxon PSIM without saving the configuration the entire Axxon PSIM catalog (including modified files) is deleted. In this case the modified files are to be manually backed up, e.g. to C:\Temp, ander under after reinstallation they are to be copied to <Axxon <Axxon PSIM installation folder>\Languages\ruen. |
