The Face detection in the Axxon Next 4.6.0.849 build has the following limitations:

  • since the manufacturer updated the SDK (changed the vector format), the search for previously recognized faces is no longer available;
  • it operates correctly on Linux starting with Debian 11 or Ubuntu 20.04. Earlier versions of these OS do not have the libraries required for the Face detection operation.

The release includes the Axxon Next DetectorPack 3.7.4 drivers package (see DetectorPack 3.7.4 Release Notes). Axxon Next 4.6.0 distribution package includes only the basic detection tools, additional detection tool packages are installed separately (see Installing DetectorPack addons).

In order to use search by faces recognized on older versions of DetectorPack, you can continue using DetectorPack 3.6.0 without upgrading it to 3.7.4. Same, if you upgrade to Debian 9/10 or another OS based on them.

Downloads and licensing

The Axxon Next installer includes both the client and server components. The client can be installed either on a computer together with the server, or on a separate dedicated client workstation. There is no limit on the total number of servers and clients in a system.
