1. Go to the Users tab in the System settings dialog box (1).
2. Select an object, corresponding to the rights account that have to be assigned to the operator, in the objects tree under the User permissions button (2).
3. Call the context menu by right-clicking upon the selected User permissions object (3). Select the Add to rights command in the menu.
   
4. The Add user dialog box is displayed.
   
5. In the Department dropdown list, select the department the user belongs to (1). If the department is selected, then accounts of users belonging to the department will be displayed in the User dropdown list. If the department is not selected, then accounts of all users registered in the system will be displayed in the User dropdown list.
6. Select the account name registered for operator in the User list (2).
7. In the Login field, specify the login that will be assigned to the operator for authorization in Axxon PSIM™ (3).

8. In the Password field, specify the password that will be assigned to the operator for authorization in Axxon PSIM™ (4).

   If the password has not been specified, then access rights will not be assigned to the operator.

   
   

9. Respecify the password in the Confirmation field (4).
10. Configure the rules of password change by the user:
    
    1. Set the Change password on first access checkbox to ask the user to change the password on the first login to the system (5).
    2. Set the Change password every __ months checkbox to ask the user to change the password periodically (6). After setting the checkbox, the text field becomes editable. Enter the period (in months) of request to change the password in this field.
    3. Set the Change password on user request checkbox to allow the user changing the password at any start system (7).

11. If the Windows account is to be used for user authorization in Axxon PSIM™, then set the Windows authorization checkbox checked and select the name of account in the User list (8).

    When this way of authorization is selected, no other data is to be specified in the login and password fieldswhen Axxon PSIM™ is started and shut down.  To To start Axxon PSIM™ when password is requested, click the Register button. To shutdown Axxon PSIM™, click the Log off button.

    
    

12. If user log-in to the system shall be confirmed by another user, select the user which has to do the confirmation from the Supervisor drop-down list (9).

    title Attention!
    All system users including supervisors have to log in to the system by login and password instead of Windows user account in case of the authorization type by four-eyes rule (i.e. with the supervisor confirmation) is in use in the system (see 7-10 steps).

    
    

13. Click the OK button (10).
14. The object of the same name as the user account registered for the operator will be displayed in the child branch of the User permissions object.
