The PTZ object is displayed in the device list objects tree as the child object of its respective to the camera, if it is the PTZ camera.
To configure a camera's PTZ controls, the following must be truethe PTZ device of the camera, do the following:
- Select the PTZ object in the objects tree (1).
- Enable the PTZ device by selecting Yes in the Enable field (2).
- Enter the name of the PTZ device (3).
- You can use discrete PTZ control buttons even if a If you need to use the step buttons to control the PTZ camera even if the camera does not support discrete this mode; to enable this, select Yes for the Discrete сontrol control via сontinuous сontrol parametercontinuous control parameter (4, see Control using step buttons and virtual joystick). In this case, the discrete PTZ control will be emulated via the continuous control commands (4).
Select the Home preset by specifying the required identifier (5). The
Homehome preset will
be appliedreturn automatically after the time period specified in the Home preset timeout field (6).
Note title Attention! If the Home preset timeout value is greater than the Operator idle time value (see Configuring PTZ control), the Operator idle time value will be used.
To simultaneously control a the PTZ camera by multiple users with the same priority, select Yes in the Multiple control list (7). Otherwise, only one user at a time will have a control (see Controlling a PTZ Camera).
To use device's the existing presets on the device in Axxon One, do the following:
- If a the camera supports is connected via the ONVIF protocol, set Yes for the New PTZ interface parameter (8). The device's presets presets created on the device will automatically appear in the PTZ control panel.
- In any other case:
- Set Yes for the Use device presets parameter (12).
Create the presets with identical IDs in Axxon One (see Creating and editing presets).
Note title Attention! If you have not enabled the Use device presets option, the use of the existing presets is disabled, they can be lost if the following conditions are in placemet:
1. In Axxon One, the recording The recording of the presets to the device option is enabled in Axxon One (see . P.8point 9).
2. In Axxon One, a The preset with the same ID is created in Axxon One (see see Creating and editing presets).
- Configuring Configure patrol:
- Choose Select the default patrol mode: Yes − — on, No − — off (9). If the default patrolling is enabled by default, it can be stopped in PTZ Control Panel control panel (see Patrolling). However, after After you finish the PTZ control session, patrols patrolling will resume automatically.
- Set the time interval in seconds at which the PTZ device will switch between the presets in the patrol mode (12).
- Set the transition speed from one preset to another in arbitrary conditional units from 0 to 100 (10).
- Set the interval of time (in seconds) at which the PTZ device will switch between presets while in Patrol mode (11).
By default, the presets are stored on IP camerasrecorded in the IP device. If you want to store the presets on the Server only, set select No for the the Save presets parameter (11).
Info title Note This option parameter is available only for the devices that support Absolute Positioning.
If necessary, configure the Tag & Track function (1314, see Configuring object trackingTag & Track Pro).
Depending on the camera, you may find other options parameters in the Other group (1415). To configure them, please refer to their description in the interface help section tooltips or in the official documentation.
- If necessary, select the camera to which this PTZ device should be assigned to (16). As a results, the object will become the child object to the selected camera.
- Click the Apply button.
The As a result, the PTZ device will then be switched to its assigned work switch to the specified operating mode.
To check the functioning operation of the PTZ device, click the Test button. If the PTZ device is configured correctly, it will turn one step and return to its original position.
