Select the folder for storing the log database and the metadata database used in Axxon One, and click the Next button.
Note title Attention! The path to the folder for storing the log database and the metadata database should contain only the Latin characters and numbers.
Note title Attention! To reduce the load on the system disk, it is recommended to store the log database and the metadata database on a separate physical disk.
To calculate the required amount of disk space for the log database, the metadata database and Axxon One, you can use the Disk storage subsystem requirements page.
Info title Note The log database and the metadata database will be located in the X:\AxxonOneData\ folder (in the Data and vmda_db subfolders, respectively), where X is the drive letter with the largest amount of free memory.
In the future, the metadata database can be placed in the network storage (see Configuring storage of the system log and metadata).
By default, shortcuts are added to both quick launch bar and desktop. Clear the corresponding checkboxes, if it's not required.
By default, upon connecting to the Server, the Client may be automatically updated (see Automatic update of a remote Client). If it's not required, clear the Create an archive for automatic update checkbox. In this case, you can save Axxon One VMS installation time, but the Clients will not be automatically updated upon their connection to the Server.
- Click the Next button.
By default, the Axxon One Server name is identical to the computer name. If the computer name contains the invalid characters, you have to set an appropriate name for the Server according to the recommendations, and click the Next button.
In the window that opens, select the installation type and click the Next button.
If the Custom installation type is selected, you will be able to set the advanced installation parameters of Axxon One.
If the Standard installation type is selected, you will jump to selecting the Axxon domain (step 25). The advanced installation parameters will be set to default values.Select the account of the file browser user:
Info title Note The file browser helps to navigate the Server file system (for example, when choosing a disks for the archive volumes). The user account in the file browser in Windows OS will be created with administrator rights.
Note title Attention! After Axxon One installation, make sure that a user account in the file browser in Windows OS has been created and belongs to the administrators group.
- Use default Axxon One File Browser account.
- Use Local System account.
Specify username and password for new or already existing user.
Specify the path to the Axxon One folders and configuration files.
Info title Note By default, the configuration files and folders are located in the C:\ProgramData\AxxonSoft\AxxonOne\ folder.
Specify the path to the folder for installing Axxon One.
Info title Note By default, Axxon One will be located in the C:\Program Files\AxxonSoft\AxxonOne\ folder.
Note title Attention! The specified paths should contain only the Latin characters and numbers.
Click the Next button.
Specify the range of ports that should be used for the Server operation. To do so, specify the beginning of the range, as well as the number of ports. This range can be used by the local network administrator to forward the port manually in cases where it is necessary to give the Client access to the Server from another network. The minimum possible number of ports is 20.
For a full list of ports, see Ports used by the Axxon One Software Package). After you install Axxon One, you can change the ports manually (see Configuring the Server ports).Info title Note The number of ports that you select affects the maximum operational configuration of the system. Keep the following in mind when specifying the number of ports:
- After the Server is installed, it occupies 10 ports, including one port for sending e-mails (via the SMTP service, see The Email E-mail notifier object) or text messages (see The SMS notifier object).
Attention! The Failover server and client installation type (see Configuring Failover VMS) uses 9 base ports and preset port ranges for each node (see Ports used by the failover system); - In a 64-bit configuration, 4 ports are required for any number of IP devices. In a 32-bit configuration, 4 ports are required for each of 32 cameras;
- Each archive requires 1 port;
- 1 port is required for viewing the archive in the Web Client;
- 2 ports are required for each decoded video stream on the currently opened layout in the Web Client;
- 2 ports are required for the mobile Client;
- 2 ports are required for any number of loudspeakers in the system (see The Speaker Object);
- 1 port is required for recording metadata into the DB;
- 2 ports are required for the service detection tools operation;
- 2 ports are required for the scene analytics detection tools operation;
- 2 ports are required for the tracker-based scene analytics operation;
- 2 ports are required for the neural counter operation.
Note title Attention! Connected devices will only work on ports from the specified range. If not enough ports are allocated, then some of the devices may not work or work unstable.
- After the Server is installed, it occupies 10 ports, including one port for sending e-mails (via the SMTP service, see The Email E-mail notifier object) or text messages (see The SMS notifier object).
- If necessary, set the alternative Server address − the external address of the switch board if the Server is behind the NAT. Interface specification format: "IP-address1 or DNS-name1, IP-address2 or DNS-name2".
If it is necessary to restrict the visibility of the Servers from certain networks in the list of Servers during Axxon One configuration, do the following:
Click the Select network interfaces...button.The Network interfaces window opens.
By default, the use of all available network interfaces on the Server is allowed, i.e. the Servers on the relevant networks will be visible in the list. Clear the checkboxes next to those network interfaces, whose network Servers should not be in the list.
Info title Note Depending on the network topology, it will still be possible be work with those Servers manually (if broadcasting is allowed between the network segments).
Click the Apply button.
Click the Next button.
Create a new Axxon Domain with the Default name (for the definition of an Axxon Domain see Appendix 1. Glossary). If you want to add the computer to an Axxon Domain at a later time, select Server will be manually added to already existing domain later. Click the Next button.
Info title Note When reinstalling Axxon One, you have the option of using the previous domain (select Use existing configuration).
Info title Note Using the same Axxon Domain name does not guarantee that the Servers will be in the same Axxon Domain. To place all Servers into one Axxon Domain, you should use Axxon One interface to add each Server to the necessary Axxon Domain. Axxon Domain configuration is described in detail in Configuring Axxon domains.
A dialog box appears, displaying the installation parameters corresponding to the selected type of installation.- Check your installation settings and click the Next button to begin installation of Axxon One.
Installation of Axxon One is then performed.
After installation, a new dialog box will appear informing you that the installation of Axxon One is completed. - Click the Finish button to confirm completion of the installation.
