The Find option item of the menu is designed used to search for an object in a the tree. Intellect™ system uses two Intellect has two methods of searching for an object:
- Searching within a tree. This method is used when only an object name (type) is known. In this case, to To find an object, follow do the next stepsfollowing:
- display Open the context menu for of the objects tree on the monitor;.
Select select Find in the menu;.
Now the monitor will display a box to enter the name of the required objectThe Search in tree dialog box will open.Info title Note. It is also possible to open this window using the Ctrl+F hotkeys key combination.
- enter Enter the name of the required object.
- press Press Enter on the keyboard to start searching.
If the object is found, it will be highlighted grey in the objects tree.
If the system finds no objects, there will be no highlighted objects in the tree.
To close the window for entering the object name, when the search is complete, click the left mouse button, pointing at hovering over the window field displaying the objects tree.
Search from a selected object.
To find an object, whose location in the objects tree is known approximately known, do the next steps can be followedfollowing:select Select an object , located above of the search fieldin the tree, below which you want to search.
Info title Note Object search across To search for an object in the tree is more effective, if the required object is a daughter object of , it is better to select an object that is a child to the Computer object. Otherwise, the search will go be performed down the branch of the selected object.
