Video archiving feature implemented in Intellect allows saving the footage video according to the settings and analyse the fragments analyze the parts of it that are of interest for to the user.
The archive is saved on the Server storage device. Video is stored in the archive as one or more indexed files. To limit the size of the files, use the the Video Subsystem tab in the Tweaki.exe tweaki utility.
The archive represents the storage for the video recordings that are made in INTELLECT™ software. Loop recording is used here. When the hardwares is a storage of video recordings created in Intellect. Videos are recorded in a loop. When hard disks run out of the space allocated to for storing the archive storage, the rewriting of footprint starts. It is made on the principle of overwriting the earliest recordingshard disks space is overwritten. The earliest recordings are deleted.
Video archive is stored in the VIDEO folder on the selected system disk. Child directories with titles in «DDIn the VIDEO folder, the subdirectories named in the DD-MM-YY HH» HH (Date, Hour) format are stored in the VIDEO folder. Archive . Intellect software creates and stores video archive in its own format. signal recording may be initialized by one of three methodsThere are three ways to start video recording:
- Forced recording by the Operator command;
- Automatic recording upon alarm registration;
- Automatic recording upon a macro/script/program execution.

Pre-alarm event is recorded before the recording start time of the alarm event recording on the video camera alarm. Pre-alarm event recording option facilitates the analysis of event causesallows you to analyze the prehistory of the alarm event.

- Post-alarm event is recorded after the recording end time of the alarm event recording on the video camera alarm. Post-alarm event recording option facilitates the analysis of event consequencesallows you to analyze the consequences of the alarm events.
- Hot recording – is a video recording segment with higher frame rate. Increasing Increased frame rate on the Hot hot recording segment makes event analysis more effective. The Hot The hot recording segment always starts from the recording start time on of the alarm event registration. The Hot hot recording segment is finished at the recording end time (depending on the Hot hot recording settings and event duration).
Further In Intellect, the restrictions are imposed on the use of additional sections when creating a video recording segments is restricted by INTELLECT™ software. The list of restrictions is given in the table.
