When you are going to update the Intellectsoftware, it is important to take the following peculiarities into account:
Before updating the Intellect software, it is recommended to create a configuration backup copy and expand it after getting the new version installed, if necessary.

You can update the Intellect software on on top of the installed version without preliminary removing only in case if the second version number corresponds to both of the installed and new versions (i.e. you can update from 4.10.x to 4.10.y (x<y) or from 4.11.x to 4.11.y (x<y), but you cannot update from 4.10 to 4.11).

- It is recommended to execute the Intellect software update with update Intellect with removing the old version in the following order:
- Remove Intellect
- using any of the ways described in
Remove the files left in the Intellect
installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Intellect\)

Attention! To save the license, you need to copy the ‘intellect.sec.’ activation key into the temporary storage before removing the files from this folder.
Run the Intellectsoftware new new version installation.

- When you are going to update from the 4.7.3 version to a newer one, you need to apply to the ITV AxxonSoft manager for activation key regeneration since the Intellectsoftware activation activation key operation principle has been changed starting with this version.
- MS SQL Server 2014 is being supplied as the part of the Intellectsoftware distributives starting with the 4.10.0.1558 version, and for the older versions – MS SQL Server 2008. MS SQL Server is going to be updated to a newer version during the Intellectsoftware update update.

If the configuration backup copy is created in MS SQL Server 2008, it can be expanded in MS SQL Server 2014. But if the backup copy is created in MS SQL Server 2014, it cannot be expanded in MS SQL Server 2008. |
