The Incident server is used for storing events that need to be processed using the Incident handler. By default, Incident server events are stored in the PROTOCOL_INC_SERVER table of the Intellect database. The event storage period is set using the Events archive length setting of the Computer system object (see Configuring events logging).

The Incident handler is used for selecting the events to be processed, and for configuring the processing rules for the Operator.

Both of these modules are required for the Incident manager interface object operation — using operation—using the Incident manager, the Operator can process events according to the specified rules.
