Service start

Intellect, INTELLECT™ installed as a Service, is started before user authorization in Windows OS and before Windows applications are launched (including the Explorer application which is used for starting up such applications as Windows OS and various other applications installed on the Server). The Intellect Core Server service performs the start. The Intellect Core Server service is created when Intellect is installed as a Service. The intellect.exe executable module is used by default to start Intellect.

In INTELLECT™

installed as a

Server user can log off INTELLECT™ and service remains started and INTELLECT™ restart is possible.

Service, the user can shut down Intellect normally, while the service remains running, and Intellect can be restarted.

If intellect64.exe should be started when the Intellect Core Server service starts, you need to change the value of the core_module_name registry key (see Registry keys reference guide) and restart the service.

Users 

When installing Intellect as a Service, While installing the Intellect software as a service the IntellectUsers user group will be created and the user who performed the installation will be added to this group. To add other users to the IntellectUser group, use the Windows OS means.  Users The users in the IntellectUsers group have the rights to configure the Intellect installed as a Service and access its interfaces. When it is necessary to arrange to provide the access to the Intellect as a Sevice interfaces  interfaces for a large number of users, it may be convenient to use the Active Directory (AD) servicesee Configuring INTELLECT™ Intellect as a Service to work with Active Directory (AD).

When the a user from the IntellectUsers group enters a system, the Intellect software restarts under this user. If the Intellect software launch start under the this user name is not needed, i.e. the Intellect software is to be Intellect should remain launched under the SYSTEM user name, disable the restart is to be disabled using the Tweaki.exe utility see The Settings panel of the Windows section part.

When INTELLECT™ If Intellect is started under some other user name (not under SYSTEM), then if a user is changed and the first user has not logged off, INTELLECT™ Intellect will not restart – it will be started . It will remain running under the first user name.  

Access to the database

If INTELLECT™ Intellect is installed as a Service, and the database connection is performed via Windows account information, then for the operation under the any user different from the user who installed INTELLECT™ Intellect, it is necessary that this user is to have the corresponding SQL server permissions.
