To install the Axxon One VMS VMS, run the Setup.exe  exe executable file with as Windows administrator rights.

The following three types of installations are available when installing Axxon One to a personal computer:

  1. Client – this type of installation is used for installing the software's user interfaces, which enable installs the Client only. It allows any user to connect to any Server within a single security system and to perform administration/management/monitoring of a guarded location protected facility based on the permissions granted by the administrator.

  2. Server and Client – installs the Client and the Server services. The Axxon One Server: 

    1. Interacts with devices (cameras, microphones, sensors, relays, etc.) that constitute build a security system.

    2. Writes video footage to archives on system disks; Stores the archive data on its own disk space, interacts with archives on NAS.

    3. Hosts Stores VMDA database.

    4. Employs Analyzes video image using the detection tools to analyze live video.

    5. Keeps the configurations of the security system, user settings, custom layouts, macros, etc.

  3. Failover Server and Client – installs the Client and the Server services enhanced with the FailOver capability. In emergency emergencies (power outage, network problems), the FailOver technology restores the Server configuration on another Server.

The following required When you install the Server, the following software is installed , if necessaryamong the prerequisites:

  1. PostgreSQL database Server. A new log database is will be automatically created with the name – —ngp, the username – —ngp, and the password – —ngp.
  2. .NET Framework 2.0, .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and .NET Framework 4.0.
  3. Acrobat Reader , which that is necessary for exporting frames in the PDF format and their printing freeze frames (see see Frame export).
