Purpose of the Document

This document, titled User guide contains the information necessary for building, implementing, and operating a security system based on Axxon One.
The structure of this document enables the user to get acquainted with the software package and then, depending on the user's level of training, choose sections of interest for more detailed study. The chapters in this guide, whether they are informative or serve as a reference, have their own internal structure.
The chapters Introduction and Description of the Software Package are intended to generally acquaint the user with the technical features and functionality of the Axxon One software package, as well as with the key stages of building a security system based on the software package.
Recommendations to the user/administrator for installing the software and configuring equipment are presented in detail in the chapter Installing the Axxon One Software Package. The chapter Licensing of the software product contains instructions on how to register a license to use the Axxon One software package.
Startup and shutdown of the software package are described in the chapter Launching and Closing the Axxon One Software Package.
The chapter Configuration of the Axxon One Software Package presents step-by-step instructions on configuring user-specific settings and activating the required functionality. This information is useful for system administrators as well as for operators with permissions to manage system settings.
Recommendations on configuring the user interface, working in various video surveillance modes, and utilizing the functional capabilities of the Axxon One software package are presented in chapter Working with the Axxon One Software Package.
Chapter Description of utilities contains a description of additional software utilities employed when working with the software package.
The Apéndices contains a glossary of the product's basic terms and definitions. It also lists all known issues that you may encounter while using Axxon One.

Purpose and functionality of Axxon One 

The Axxon One software package is a next-generation open-platform video management software (VMS). Security systems based on Axxon One range from home security systems (for an apartment or house) to Proffesional large-scale distributed security systems for small and mid-size businesses (hotels, automotive service centers, shops, parking structures, etc.).
Video and audio surveillance of guarded locations, video analysis, and rapid response to suspicious situations without operator involvement, and storage and export of obtained data are just a few of Axxon One's many functions.
The Axxon One software package enables the user to accomplish a wide spectrum of tasks, as it works both with digital equipment and with analog video cameras (through video capture cards), and also makes it possible to create a hybrid security system containing both kinds of equipment.

Objetivos del documento

Este documento, tituladoGuía de usuario recoge la información necesaria para construir, implementar y operar un sistema de seguridad basado en Axxon One.
La estructura de este documento permite al usuario familiarizarse con el paquete de software y, dependiendo del nivel de formación del usuario, seleccionar los apartados de mayor interés para un estudio en detalle de los mismos. Las secciones de esta guía, ya sean de carácter informativo o sirvan como referencia, tienen su propia estructura interna.
Los apartados Introducción y Descripción del paquete de software están pensados para hacer que el usuario se familiarice de manera general con las características técnicas y funciones del paquete de software Axxon One, además proporcionar los principales pasos para la construcción de un sistema de seguridad basado en el paquete de software.
Las recomendaciones para la instalación del software y configuración de los equipos por parte de usuarios/administradores vienen descritas en detalle en el apartado Instalación del paquete de software Axxon One. El apartado Licencias del producto de software contiene las instrucciones necesarias para registrar una licencia de uso del paquete de software Axxon One.
La descripción del inicio y cierre del paquete de software viene recogida en la secciónInicio y cierre del paquete de software Axxon One.
El apartado Configuración del paquete de software Axxon One indica, paso a paso, las instrucciones para llevar a cabo la configuración que se ajuste a las necesidades del usuario y la activación de las funciones que se necesiten. Esta información es relevante para administradores de sistema y operadores con permisos para gestionar ajustes de sistema.
Las recomendaciones acerca de la configuración de la interfaz de usuario, operativa en diversos modos de videovigilancia y uso de capacidades del paquete de software Axxon One vienen especificadas en el apartado Operativa del paquete de software Axxon One.
En la sección Descripción de las herramientas aparece una descripción de las herramientas de software adicionales que se pueden emplear al operar con el paquete de software.
Los Apéndices contienen un glosario con los términos y definiciones básicas del producto. También recoge una serie de particularidades conocidas que se pueden dar al utilizar Axxon One.

Propósito y funciones de Axxon One 

El paquete de software Axxon One es un software de gestión de vídeo (VMS) de plataforma abierta de última generación. Los sistemas de seguridad basados en Axxon One van desde sistemas de seguridad en domicilios (un apartamento o casa) a sistemas de seguridad distribuidos a gran escala para profesionales y comercios de tamaño medio (hoteles, centros de automoción, aparcamientos públicos, etc.).
La monitorización de audio y vídeo de instalaciones vigiladas, análisis de vídeo y respuestas rápidas a situaciones sospechosas sin necesidad de que intervenga un operador o almacenamiento y exportación de los datos recogidos son solo algunas de las muchas funciones de Axxon One.
El paquete de software Axxon One permite al usuario llevar a cabo una amplia gama de tareas, gracias a su capacidad de funcionar con equipos digitales y cámaras de vídeo analógicas (mediante tarjetas capturadoras) y posibilita la creación de un sistema de seguridad híbrido que puede contener ambos tipos de dispositivo.
