By default, if disks are selected for storing the archive of the Videogate module (see Selecting disks for storing the archive of the Videogate module), then Videogate requests video streams for all selected cameras (see Selecting and configuring the cameras for the Videogate module) from Server and only records the Videogate module archive if recording is configured for these cameras on the Server. Continuous You can configure continuous Videogate archive record recording by all added cameras regardless of Server configuration, as well as record recording only on cameras requested on clients can be enabled.
To configure the record recording of the Videogate module archive, do the following:
- Go to the Videogate object settings panel.
- If it is necessary to provide continuous record recording on all cameras added to the Videogate is required regardless of whether the Server records its archive or not, set the Constant recording checkbox (1).
- If it is necessary to provide recording of the Videogate module archive only by cameras requested on clients (i.e. displayed in the Video surveillance monitor) are to be recorded to the Videogate module archive, set the Active cameras recording checkbox (2).
- Click Apply (3).
Configuring the record recording of the Videogate module archive is completed.
In case no disk is selected for recording, then:
- if the Constant recording checkbox is set, then there will be continuous video stream from the Server, and there will be no recording;
- if the Active cameras recording checkbox is set, then the video will stream from the Server only if it is displayed on the Video surveillance monitor, and there will be no recording.
Specifics of the Videogate operation with different combinations of set checkboxes for archive recording are described in the table:
