1. Before updating the Axxon PSIM software, it is recommended to create a configuration backup copy and expand it after getting the new version installed, if necessary.

You can update the Axxon PSIM software on top of the installed version without preliminary removing only in case if the second version number corresponds to both of the installed and new versions (i.e. you can update from 41.101.x to 41.101.y (x<y) or from 41.112.x to 41.112.y (x<y), but you cannot update from 41.10 1 to 41.112).

3. It is recommended to execute the Axxon PSIM software update with removing the old version in the following order:
4. Execute the Axxon PSIM software removal using any of the ways described in the Removing Axxon PSIM™ software section.

5. Remove the files left in the Axxon PSIM software installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Axxon PSIM\).

7. When you are going to update from the 4.7.3 version to a newer one, you need to apply to the AxxonSoft manager for activation key regeneration since the Axxon PSIM software activation key operation principle has been changed starting with this version.
