By default, if disks are selected for storing the archive of the Videogate module recording (see Selecting disks for storing the archive of the Videogate module), then the Videogate requests video streams for all selected cameras (see Selecting and configuring the cameras for the Videogate module) from Server and only records the Videogate module archive if recording is configured for these cameras on the Server. You can configure continuous Videogate archive recording by all added cameras regardless of Server configuration, as well as recording only on cameras requested on clients.
To configure the recording of to the Videogate module archive, do the following:
- Go to the Videogate object settings panel.
- If it is necessary to provide continuous recording on by all cameras added to the Videogate regardless of whether the Server records its archive or not, set the Constant recording checkbox (1).
- If it is necessary to provide recording of by the Videogate module archive only by cameras requested on clients (i.e. displayed in cameras the video stream from which is requested and displayed on the Video surveillance monitor )on clients, set the Active cameras recording checkbox checkbox (2).
- Click the Apply button (3).
Configuring the recording of to the Videogate module archive is completedcomplete.
In case no disk is selected for recording, then:
- if the Constant recording checkbox is set, then there will be continuous video stream from the Server, and there will be no recording;
- if the Active cameras recording checkbox checkbox is set, then the video will stream from the Server only if it is displayed on the Video surveillance monitor, and there will be no recording.
