To ensure the correct recognition of personal protective equipment, the following image requirements should be met:

  1. The object to be detected (PPE) is clearly distinguishable by the human eye.
  2. The image is not noisy and not distorted by compression algorithm artifacts.
  3. The duration of the object's visibility is at least 8 frames.
  4. There are no visible physical barriers between the camera lens and the analyzed object.
  5. The minimum height of the equipment on body areas in pixels is observed:

    1. Vest—at least 50 pixels.

    2. Helmet—at least 20 pixels.

    3. Hood—at least 20 pixels.

    4. Gloves—at least 20 pixels.

  6. The minimum value of pixel density per meter is observed:

    Image resolution

Minimum pixel density per meter (ratio of the object height in pixels to the object height in meters)

Minimum object height in pixels, Width x Height
    1920x108059~100
    1280x72059~100
    640x36059

    ~100
