When working with the Failover system, it is recommended to update the Servers through a supervisor (see Updating Servers within a cluster).
Before you start updating, do the following:
- back up your configuration (see Backup and Restore Utility);
- stop the Server (see Shutting down a Server) or, in case of FailOver Failover system, the NGP_Supervisor service. If you run multiple Servers in the Axxon-domain, make sure to stop them all.

For a FailOver system, it is recommended to update the Servers through a supervisor (see Updating Servers within a cluster). |
To upgrade from version 1.0 to version 1.9 – 2.0To update, do the following:
Run the new build installer. You do not need to remove the previous build.
Install the build using an the previous settings, existing configuration and database. The procedure is the same as for a new installation (see see Installation).
Note title Attention! In Axxon One 2.0 and newer, there are no restrictions on database location. To reduce the load on the system disk, it is recommended to store the metadata database and the log database on a separate hard disk (see Configuring storage of the system log and metadata).
