With LPR search by LPs, you can find video footage of the vehicles with recognized number license plates in the archive, as well as filter them according to specified criteria.
To search recorded video for LPR resultsby license plates, do the following:
- Set a time search interval for your search (see see Setting a search interval).
- Select the detector from the list (1), by the events from which you want to search.
Enter the number plate license plate that you want to find (2). Fuzzy search supported if you enter the number with the ? mask for any one character, and the * mask for any number of characters) You can enter either a full license plate or a part of it using the ? character (any character in the license plate) and the * character (any number of any characters in the license plate). For example, a search query ?20* will show shows all vehicles with license plate containing 2 and 0 in the second and third position, respectively. The total License plate can contain any number of characters in number plates will be variable.

- If necessary, set additional search criteria by clicking the button:

Info title Note To search by additional criteria, the Vehicle recognition option should must be enabled in the License plate recognition ( RR) settings (see Configuring the License plate recognition ( RR)).
- Select the Vehicle class (3) from the drop-down list:
- Car;
- Truck;
- Bus;
- Motorcycle;
- Mini truck;
- Unknown.
- Vendor (4): enter full name of the car manufacturer in Latin letters, case-insensitive. Correct spelling examples: Mitsubishi, LADANissan, Hyundai.
Model (5): enter full name of the car model in numbers or Latin letters, case-insensitive. Correct spelling examples: Outlander, XRAY Teana, Creta, 406 (for Peugeot 406).

- Color (6): set the color of the vehicle (see Configuring object color).
- Select the Vehicle headlights (7) state from the drop-down list:
- Unknown;
- Enabled;
- Disabled.
- Vehicle speed (8): in the From and To fields, set the vehicle speed range depending on the unit of measurement selected in the Speed detection field in the detection tool settings (see Configuring the License plate recognition ( RR)):
Kmph: possible range from 0 to 450.
Mph: possible range from 0 to 280.
- Vehicle direction (9): select the vehicle direction from the drop-down list:
- Unknown — the vehicle's Unknown—vehicle direction is not recognized;
- Incoming — the vehicle Incoming—vehicle is moving towards the camera;
Outgoing — the vehicle Outgoing—vehicle is moving away from the camera.

- Select the Vehicle class (3) from the drop-down list:
Click the Search button.
Info title Note Once launchedstarted, the search can be stopped at any time. To do this, click the Stop button, which appears instead of the Search button.
This starts a search for video fragments based on the defined selected criteria. The search results panel displays frames with vehicles whose numbers which license plates contain the text from the search query and also satisfy meet the specified additional parameters.
A recognized number plate will be highlighted by license plate is outlined with a red frame border in the Viewing TileSurveillance window.
