The VMDA detection are detection tools due to triggering of which some actions can be performed in the system.

For instance, when the detection tool with corresponding settings triggers, the alarm on camera is generated and recording to the archive starts. Thus VMDA detection tools allow recording to the archive and, therefore, the recording of object trajectories, not steadily, but in the required situations.

react to object movement. When they trigger, an alarm is generated. On the basis of this alarm, you can perform actions in the system.

If you want to initiate an alarm on a camera If it is necessary to initiate a camera alarm when the VMDA detection tool is triggered, select the triggers, set the Generate alarm on camera check box checkbox.

The You can set the alarm generation mode for any type of VMDA detection tools is set using the VMDA.oneAlarmPerTrack registry  registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).

Detections arming and disarming is performed You can arm and disarm the VMDA detection tools using macros or scripts, which are to must be created manually (for the detailed information about macros see in the , see Creating and using macros section). The initial state of detection is defined by Generate alarm on camera checkbox – detection armed if the checkbox is set, otherwise – disarmed. By default, the detection tool is armed after creation.

The table below describes the cases and possible reactions on detection tool triggering (e.g. for example, on line crossing or motion in the area).

The Disappearance in the area detection tool is triggered triggers immediately after an object in the area disappears. By default, the alarm is reset 15 seconds after the alarm is triggeredtriggers. To You can change the length of time after which an alarm is reset, edit the reset time using the DisappearedAlarmDuration registry key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ITV\INTELLECT\Video section for 32-bit systems (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ITV\INTELLECT\Video for 64-bit systems(see Registry keys reference guide).

To create aVMDA detectordetection, do  do the following:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings dialog box.
  2. Select the Tracker object in the objects tree of on the Hardware tab.
  3. Create the VMDA detection object on the base basis of the Tracker object. The settings panel for of the created object appears on VMDA detection object will be displayed in the right part of the Hardware tab.

Video from the camera on the basis of which the VMDA detection object is created is displayed in the Video field.

The VMDA detection is now created. Information only about the objects that triggered detector action is recorded to the VMDA metadata storage

Next, you must select and configure the motion variant to which the detection tool will trigger:
