Configuring the parameters of the detection tool
To configure the Handrail holding detection tool, do the following:
- Create Pose Detection (see Configuring Pose Detection).
- Below the Pose Detection, click Create… → Handrail holding detection.
If necessary, you can change the detection tool parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

Basic settings | ||
Number of measurements in a row to trigger detection | 2 | Specify the minimum number of frames with the corresponding pose or behavior for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [1, 20]. The recommended (default) value is 2. Increasing the value can help eliminate false alarms, but increases the risk of skips. Decreasing the value can help reduce skips, but increases the probability of false alarms |
To save the parameters of the detection tool, click the Apply button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel button.
Configuring the area for detection
To configure the area for detection of the Handrail holding detection, do the following:
- Click in the preview window.
- Using the Handrail line, specify one or several handrails in the frame.
- Set common parameters (see Setting up common parameters for Pose detection tools).
- Click anywhere in the Preview window.
- Mark one or several handrails with lines (1).
Note title Attention! - If lens distortion makes the handrail non-linear, use several lines.
- The presence of a person in the staircase zone is determined by their lower limbs.
- Set Using the anchor points to of the Staircase zone, specify the area where zone, in which a person should must hold the handrail (2).
