For each type of Scene analytics detection tool you can set a detection zonestandard detection sub-tool (except for Line Crossing, see Standard detection sub-tools), you can specify an area where detection and metadata generation will be performed. 

After creating you create a detection tool, its a rectangular detection zone area is displayed in a bright color. If you have set privacy masks, they are grayed out (see Configuring a skip area).

You can configure a detection area similar to a skip area Configuration of the detection zone is carried out in the same way as for general zones for Scene analytics detection tools (see Configuring a skip area).
