After receiving an SNMP trap (a special signal sent by a SNMP trap device that supports the SNMP protocol. The signal notifies about the occurrence of critical events), channels described by the trap can be automatically created automatically in in Axxon PSIM.

These Two conditions are to must be met in order for this to happen:

  1. The Automatic creation of channels checkboxis set checked on the settings panel of the the SNMP Wrapper object.

  2. Connection with a device is set established (see Connecting a device via the SNMP protocol).

If the these conditions are met, the corresponding channels are created after receiving a an SNMP trap.
