The device state is described by a specific number of variables-channels.  The A channel can have both digit and string values.A channel is configured on a numeric and a text value. 

To configure a channel, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the SNMP C

Configure a channel as follows:

  1. Enter In the Channel OID field, enter the channel ID (1).

  2. If required necessary, select a rule Rule with which the channel is to will comply with (2, see see Configuring rules). 
  3. From the Type drop-down list, select data type: Null, OctetString, Integer, OID, Gauge, Counter32, IpAddress, TimeTicks, Counter64, UnsignedInteger, Opaque (Float), Opaque (Double).
  4. Set the Value chaged (3) chaged checkbox checked if you don't want to display events about changed the channel value are not to be displayed change in the Event logViewer.

  6. Set the Custom events (5) events checkbox checked if events are not to be displayed you don't want to display events in the Event log Viewer when the a rule triggers.
  7. Set In the GET request group, set the Enable checkbox in the GET Request group to enable SNMP GET requests (6).
  8. In the the Repeat interval field, specify the time period in seconds to repeat after which GET requests (7)are sent.
  9. Click the the Apply button (8)to save the changes.

Device channel configuration is now completed.
