Registering an LDAP user

an LDAP user,

you must select the username from the specified LDAP catalog.

You don't need to specify the password.

To add register an LDAP user, do the following:

  1. Add the a user to the system (see Configuring local users).
  2. Select In the Catalog parameter, select the LDAP catalog that contains the user (1, see LDAP catalogs).
  3. In the Username field, click the  button (2) button
    A window with all users of the LDAP catalog opens.
  4. Find Use the search at the top of the window to find a user via search (1) or manually select a user from the list (2)manually. Click OK (3)
  5. Click the OK button.
  6. Specify the other user settings (see Configuring local users).
  7. Click the Apply  button to save the settings Image Added button.

The user has now been added and assigned a role.

As a result, the user is registered and added to a specific role. When an LDAP user connects, the user's login from Server settings is used with the password from the LDAP catalogusername specified in the Axxon One settings and the password from the LDAP catalog are used.

Synchronizing LDAP users

To add users from an LDAP catalog to a specific role, do the following:

  1. Right-click the role, to which you want to add users.

  2. Select Synchronize with LDAP.
  3. Select the required LDAP catalog (see LDAP catalogs).

All users in the selected catalog are added to the selected role. By default, the username matches the login in the LDAP catalog.

Locking an LDAP user

To lock an account of an LDAP user, do the following:

  1. Select a user from the Users list or select a user of a specific role.
  2. In the Lock user account parameter, select the Yes value.
  3. Click the Apply Image Added button.

As a result, the selected user is locked. Locked users cannot log in. To unlock the user, in the Lock user account parameter, select the No value (see Registering an LDAP user).

Removing an LDAP user

To remove an LDAP user, do the following:

  1. Select the user that you want to remove.

    You cannot remove a user you are logged in as.


  2. Click the Remove Image Added button.
  3. Click the Apply Image Added button.

As a result, an LDAP user is removed.

When you remove a user on the LDAP Server, the user is also removed in Axxon One.
