Replication is performed as blocks of information accumulate and only to the end of the archive. Blocks of information can be replicated to any part of the archive in the object archive. To transfer the old data from Archive 1 to Archive 2 and continue writing recording new data to Archive 2, do the following:
The events indicating the start and successful completion of data replication will be generated in the system (see Event control). These events can be used in macros (see Programming). |
...
- In the list of archives of the Axxon-domain, select the archive to which you want to copy data from other archives.
Select one or more archives form which you want to copy data (1). You can also replicate video from the embedded camera storage (4, see The Embedded storage object).
For In the Cameras for replication parameter, for each archive, select the cameras from which data will be copied to the replication archive (2). To select all cameras, click the Select all button.
Info title Note - Data from a particular camera can be copied to the replication archive only from one archive. When you select a camera for replication from an archive, the camera becomes unavailable for replication from any other archive.
- You cannot select cameras if they are already
- recording to the replication archive.
Select In the Replication period parameter, select the replication period (3):
Always—replication will be performed continuously.
- Time schedule—replication will be performed within the specified time schedule (see Creating schedules). For example, to distribute the CPU load, you can configure replication to run at night.
On demand—replication will be started manually or using macros (see Manual archive replication, Start replication).
Note title Attention! - If you change the replication period in an existing replication archive, the archive records for the previous period will be deleted.
- If you use object archive, it is possible to record data and replicate it to the same archive at a time if you select the On demand replication period. For example, in case of continuous recording and a short-term (for example, five minutes) loss of connection with the camera, you can use a macro to replicate the data from the embedded storage to the same archive, to which the continuous recording is made.
- Click the Apply button.
Configuring data replication is complete. If the replication period was is set to Always, data replication starts immediately after the settings are applied.
